Obituary

Shelby Ray Hardin, 33, died July 6, 2021 in Danville, Kentucky. Born March 7, 1988 in Danville, he was the son of Shelby Gene and Rhonda Raye Hardin. Ray attended Boyle County High School and was a member of the class of 2006. He enjoyed being outdoors – camping, hiking, fishing – playing basketball and spending time with his son. In addition to his parents, Ray is survived by his son, Braidon Ray Hardin; his girlfriend Penelope Pennington; two sisters, Ashley (Chad) Jean Fields and Shawna (Darrell) Deanne Carmicle; nieces and nephews, Lexis Rayelin Anderson, Zane Gregory Fields, Sarah (Austin) Ashlee Morris, Kelsey Deanne Carmicle, Issac David Carmicle, Waylon Chase Carmicle, Kaitlyn Elaine Carmicle and great-niece Abagail Maylyn Morris; grandmothers, Wilma Raye Sharon and Nancy Marie Stuart Hardin; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
