Kaye Sanders, 64, Harrodsburg died Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born June 8, 1955 in Casey County she was the daughter of the late Thomas Wilson Sanders and Christine Godbey Sanders of Harrodsburg. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a retired LPN and Director of Health Care Services having gotten her degrees from Midway College and Phoenix University. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren; playing BINGO, camping, bowling and archery.
Additional survivors including her mother are: her significant other: Charles McFerron, Sr.; two daughters: Christy Prather of Lexington and Kimberly (Gary Dearing) Johnson of Harrodsburg; four brothers: Thomas (Judy) Sanders, Jr. of Harrodsburg, William (Carroll Ann) Sanders of Harrodsburg, James (Pattie) Sanders of Harrodsburg and John Thurman Sanders of Harrodsburg; three sisters: Alice (William) Sallee of Burgin, Joyce (Onise) Alsman of Perryville and Judy King of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren: Megan Prather, Taylor Lewis and Gary “Lil Man” Dearing, Jr.; one great-grandchild: Emori Jade Sparks and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin sister: Harriet “Faye” McFerron and her granddaughter: Christa Kay Murphy.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Lynn Releford officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Memorial Gardens with William McFerron, Charles McFerron, Jr., William (ToJo) Sallee, Douglas Alsman, Anthony Godbey and James Michael Cooley serving as pallbearers and Calvin King, Vicki Sue Alsman, Gary “Lil Man” Dearing, Jr., Christopher Lewis, Timothy Lewis and Gary Dearing, Sr. serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
