Theodore Dangelmaier

March 22, 1943 — June 9, 2017

Theodore E. Dangelmaier, 74, of Danville, passed away Friday, at VA Medical Center in Lexington KY. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Dangelmaier. Theodore was born on March 22, 1943 in New York to the late Bernard and Marie Hudson Dangelmaier. He was a bookkeeper for many years. Theodore proudly served in the United States Navy and Air Force. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member at large in the VFW, member of the DAV, and the 554th Red Horse Squadron.

He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

Surviving is a son, Brian Dangelmaier(Jenny) of Liberty, KY; two daughters, Teri Gerlach(Joe) of Danville and Stacy Evans(James) also of Danville; a brother Joseph Dangelmaier of California; two sisters, Donna Marie Dangelmaier of Pennsylvania and Gerarda Terford also of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren Emily Gerlach, Hagan Gerlach, Bayleigh Evans, Samuel Evans, Aaron Evans, Nathanael Blevins, Caitlyn Blevins, Anna Dangelmaier, and Addison Dangelmaier. Theodore also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Sarge, Mitzi, and his loving cat, Scooter.

Theodore, along with his wife and parents, was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Kenneth Dangelmaier.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Alan Carter officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are preferred to Heritage Hospice and UK Children's Hospital.
