Shirley Rhea Fisher Bryant, 80, of Danville, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and caregivers Monday, July 13, 2015. The daughter of the late Walter Herbert and Mable Eldridge Fisher, Shirley was born March 1, 1935 in Dickson, Tenn. She was the widow of Bobby Mack Bryant, a homemaker and a member of West End Church of Christ. Shirley graduated from Dickson County High School and earned her BS in Political Science at Tennessee Tech. She was a social worker then taught first and third grades in Nashville. Shirley loved to read, shop, and listen to many types of music but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Tamra Blackwell of Danville and son in law, Ronnie Blackwell, Jr., a son, Robert M. Bryant of Madisonville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Ashley (Jordan) Morrow, Chad (Tabitha) Blackwell, Christian Blackwell and Cobey Blackwell; and five great-grandchildren, Dallas Preston, Alyssa Wray, Aliyah Wray, Cruz Blackwell and Cash Blackwell.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday at Stith Funeral Home, Danville. Visitation will be after 6 p.m., Thursday and 12 noon on Friday prior to the service. Entombment will follow the service. Memorial donations are suggested to Heritage Hospice or The Gideon's Intl.
