Ruby Lefevers

February 24, 1938 — May 13, 2013

Ruby Jane McDaniel Lefevers, 75, of Old Hustonville Rd., Danville, died Monday, May 13, 2013. Born February 24, 1938, in Sand Springs, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Crit J. and Mary Martha Barron McDaniel. A graduate of Brodhead High School and a member of Junction City First Baptist Church, Ruby worked at Certified Brake Co. for about 10 years. Ruby was a homemaker and the widow of Clyde Lefevers. She loved to raise flowers and garden, she quilted, embroidered and crocheted. Her children and grandchildren were most important to her. Ruby had a very strong faith in the Lord and that carried her through her life everyday. She was predeceased by a son, Donnie Ray Lefevers and two sisters, Nancy McFerron and Bessie Warfield and two brothers, Charles and Robert McDaniel.

Ruby is survived by two children, Milton J. Lefevers of Danville and Linda (Jerry) Kerr of Columbia, Ky.; a sister, Nellie Rollins of Lexington; two grandchildren, Vickie Kerr (Curtis) George and David Ray Kerr; and two great-grandchildren, Cayden George and Allie Rae Kerr.

The funeral will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. Choe Sergent and Rev. Dale Denton will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David kerr, Curtis George, Michael Sinkhorn, Darren Sinkhorn, Dudley Spoonamore, Clarence Warfield and Archie Coffman. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Memorial donations are suggested to Junction City First Baptist Church or Heritage Hospice.
