Rose Lee Lewis Preston, 87, of Junction City died at home Friday, January 23, 2015. Born May 7, 1927 in Parksville, Ky., she was the daughter of Lawrence and Hallie Pendygraft Lewis. Rose was a cook at Kentucky School for The Deaf for over 20 years. She is the widow of Ralph Preston. "Pie" as she was nicknamed, attended Junction City School and was an active member of the Alum Springs First Church of God. She was called "Ms. Hospitality" by her family and friends because she loved to cook for everyone.

Rose is survived by two sons and their wives, Darrell and Sue Preston of Junction City and Randy and Connie Preston of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Keith (Cheryl) Preston, Melissa Bodner, Stacy (Al) Cox and Scott Preston; three great-grandchildren, Courtney Cox, Hannah Bodner and Raegan Preston and a sister, Lula Mae White of Red Bank, Tenn.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at Alum Springs First Church of God. Rev. Donald Lear will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Members of her church will be pallbearers. Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Monday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. The family requests memorial donations to Alum Springs First Church of God.
