Penny Ingels

Penny Sue Ingels, 55, of Nicholasville, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at UK Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Manchester, Kentucky on December 22, 1961 to Charles Scalf and the late Cynthia Martin Blanton.

Penny loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself. Her home away from home was Holden Beach, NC and if music was on she was singing or dancing. She loved the outdoors whether she was fishing, camping or clogging at Boonesborough. She loved life and tried to live it to the fullest.

Surviving is her husband, William Ingels of Nicholasville; a son, Charles E. Barron, Jr. (Olivia) of Lexington; three daughters, Kim Byars (Chris) of Nicholasville, Jennifer Blair (Billy) of Nicholasville, and Genora Kirk of Tennessee; two step-sons, Marty (Stephanie) Ingels, Chris (Ann) Ingels; two step-daughters, Leslie Thomas and Terri Carsey; twelve grandchildren: Mariah Barron, Cody Coldiron, Logan Maupin, McKenzie Elam, Nathan Byars, Kennedy Blair, Connor Maupin, Charles Barron III, Hunter Lane Barron, Jacob Barron, Abigal Barron, and James Barron; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Glendon and Roy Blanton; and one sister, Cynthia Marie Brewer.

Penny is also preceded in death by a brother, Tim Scalf.

Funeral services 11AM Monday, April 3, 2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bishop Tim Baxter officiating. Burial in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 5-8PM Sunday, April 2, 2017.

Pallbearers are Logan Maupin, Billy Blair, Chris Byars, Charlie Barron, Roy Blanton, and Marty Ingels. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Coldiron, Paul Locker, Bruce Halcomb, and Tony Siletta.
