Pauline Johnson Hunter, 82, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at the UK Medical Center. Born September 1, 1928 in Owen County, Ky., she is the daughter of Herman and Ruth Stephens Johnson. She was a graduate of Owen County High School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Pauline was the widow of Earvel Hunter. She was a loving wife for 58 years, a wonderful Mother of four and the sweetest friend to all.

She is survived by four children, Rhonda Layne (George) Bartlett of Nicholasville, Sheila Ranet (Donald) McElroy of Danville, Deneen Yvette (Steve) Sharon of Paris and Kevin Leigh Hunter of Danville; a sister, Wilma Layne Early of Shelbyville and two brothers-in-law, Eugene Lee and Foster T. of Frankfort; six grandchildren, Amanda Gail Toole, Jeremy Bartlett, Aaron Hunter, Jessica Hunter, Holly Sharon, Heather (D.J.) Keaton and Kerry Sharon; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Bartlett, Elizabeth Florian, Jeremy Bartlett, Jr., Jacob Toole, Jamie Toole and Xavier Keaton.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Singleton will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Church of God, 996 Clintonville Rd., Paris, Ky., 40361.
