Parker Leon Taylor, 80, of Danville died Friday, March 4, 2011. Born December 2, 1930 in Lebanon Ky., he was the son of Jesse Taylor and Lois Bagwell Tewmey. He was also predeceased by his son, Gregory Scott Taylor. Parker was the District Manager of United Insurance Co. of America for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Leslie Taylor; two sons, Michael (Diana) Taylor and David (Jill) Taylor, both of Columbus, Ohio and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday at Danville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Owens will officiate. Greg Conrad and Warren Stovall will be honorary pallbearers. The family requests memorials be sent to the Oleika Shrine Childrens Hospital, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502. Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
