Nora Gordon

Nora Etta Hale Gordon, 94, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her home in Lancaster, KY. She was born in Knox County on August 20, 1922 to the late Elmer and Ida Sowder Hale. Nora attended First Baptist Church in Danville, Kentucky. She retired from Palm Beach after 34 years as a seamstress. Nora loved watching birds, and loved being outside. She is predeceased by her husband, Estill Gordon, four brothers, Floyd Hale, Wesley Hale, Ronnie Hale, and Coy Hale.

She is survived by three sisters, Clara Jean Oaks of Lancaster, KY, Delena Hale of Lancaster, KY, Nola Kirkpatrick of Somerset, KY, one brother, Hershel (Della Jean) Hale of Lancaster, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home in Danville, Kentucky. Officiated by Carolyn Ellis, with visitation 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be her Nephews and Nieces. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
