Obituary:

Monie Mae Miller Horton, 80, of Danville, passed away Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Horton. Monie was born February 26, 1936 to the late JB and Caldonia Horton.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, quilting, and loved volunteering for the Salvation Army.

Also surviving are two sons: Edmond Horton, Jr. (Margaret) of Danville and Timothy Horton of Lexington; a daughter Sylvia Marie Mogridge of Tennesse; two brothers: Carlis Miller and Alvin Miller, both of Harrodsburg; a sister Ann Johnson (Allen) of Washington State; and a sister in law, Lena Burton of Danville.

Monie is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, JG Miller.

Funeral services are 2PM Wednesday at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Lane officiating. Burial in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11am until time of service.
