Age: 80

Mildred C. Davis, 80, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leroy. Mildred was born on May 30, 1935 in Boyle County, Kentucky to the late Hurbert and Ruth May Montgomery.

She worked at Cowden's Manufacturing for many years, farmed, and was a homemaker. Mildred was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Also surviving is a daughter: Norma Davis Smith (Ric) of Lancaster; two brothers: Charles Montgomery of Danville and Donald Montgomery(Jean) of Mt. Washington, KY; and a granddaughter: Kristen Paige Smith.

Mildred was preceded in death by four brothers: R.C., Edward, Eugene, and G.T. Montgomery. Also preceded in death by two sisters: Flossie Montgomery Cheatham and Anna Leathers.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday April 28, 2016 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Browning officiating. Visitation will be 6-9 PM Wednesday. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers are Danny Montgomery, Gary Montgomery, Hugh Montgomery, Ronnie Montgomery, Kenny Cheatham, Larry Cheatham, Brian Montgomery, and Tim Montgomery.

Honorary pallbearers are Mark Montgomery, Marty Montgomery, Pat Halloran, Ric Callis, and Jim Neal.
