Louise Phillips

Louise "Sissy" Phillips, age 88, of East Main Street in Stanford, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at her residence. Born Wednesday, April 27, 1927 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late William & Flora Combs Anderson. She was the widow of the late William E. Phillips, who preceded her in death September 21, 1983. Louise worked, for many years, as the Administrative Assistant in the Admissions Office at Centre College and was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church.

Louise leaves behind two sons, Randy Phillips (Jonnie) of Harrodsburg and William Phillips (Denise) of Tigard, Oregon; two daughters, Darlene Phillips and Angie Phillips both of Stanford; one sister, Doris Barber of Vero Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, Scott Broughton (Sheila), Eric Phillips (Amy), Nancy Buie (John), Christopher Phillips, and Maeghan Broughton; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Anderson and Lester Roberts; and one sister, Eldora Vaught.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bramel officiating the service. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Scott Broughton, Eric Phillips, Christopher Phillips, John Buie, Kelvin Machal, and Lou Vaught will serve as Active Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 11AM-2PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions suggested to the Methodist Home of Kentucky, 2050 Lexington Road, Versailles, KY 40383.

Fox & Friend Funeral Home, Stanford, is entrusted with Louise's arrangements.
