Age: 80 Visitation: Friday, 6-9 pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Funeral Service: 10 A.M. Saturday, September 19 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel Interment: Danville Memorial Gardens Lois Harris, 80, of Stanford died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born May 2, 1929 in Pulaski County to the late Nelson and Cloia Taylor Harris he was the widower of Jewell Harris. He was retired as a machinist at Matthews Conveyor in Danville. He was a member of Stanford Baptist Church and a Korean War Veteran.
Survivors include two daughters Betty Blevins (Sam) and Susan Smith both of Stanford; two brothers Harold Harris and Cooper Harris; three sisters Oveda Broughton, Carol Coleman and Bessie Henry all of Stanford; three grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday 6-9 at Spurlin Funeral Home, Funeral services will be Saturday September 19, 2009 at 10 AM at Spurlin Funeral Home with Reverend Albert Gisler officiating. Casketbearers will be members of the military honor guard. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Caswell Saufley Post #18 will be presenting Military Honors.
Memorials in Leiu of flowers may be given to the KY Chapter of ALS.
