Linda Moore

Linda Mae Ross Moore, 75, died Sunday, March 1, 2020 at her home in Junction City. She was born on July 24, 1944 in Decatur, Illinois to the late Norma David Aaron and William Charles Ross. Linda graduated from Junction City High School and was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. Throughout her life she worked several jobs including Fram Filters, in the cafeteria at Junction City Elementery, cooked at Peckerwood Grocery, and was a caregiver for various people. She loved to play Yahtzee and card games like Rook. Linda always put her grandson first. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Donald Lee “Shotgun” Moore.

Linda is survived by three daughters; Christy Lee Moore of Danville, Cathy Lynn Moore of Danville and Norma Elizabeth “Beth” Denham (Chris) of Lancaster, two sons, James David Moore of Junction City and Michael Gregory (Stacy) Moore of Richmond, and one grandson, William Clay Denham.

The funeral service will be 1 pm, Friday, March 6, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. Ernest Fields Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 5 pm, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City.
