Kenneth Blevins, 82, widower of Alma Westerfield Blevins, died October 16, 2012 at Fort Logan Hospital. Born July 19, 1930 in Oneida, Tenn., he was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah Kidd Blevins.

He was a 1950 graduate of Danville High School and a self employed carpenter who loved woodworking and refinishing furniture and duplicated carved wood pieces for Shakertown Village during the original restoration. He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church of Stanford, Ky.

Survivors include two sons; Michael Blevins of Lexington, Ky. and Samuel (Betty) Blevins of Stanford, Ky., a special friend and longtime companion; Roberta Addington, a brother; Quincy Blevins of Danville, a sister; Beulah (Jim) Vogt of Bardstown, Ky., two grandsons; Adam Justin Blevins and Eric Allen Rowe, and three great-grandchildren; Blake Rowe, Brady Rowe and Ayden Blevins. He was predeceased by a brother; Earl Blevins.

The funeral service will be Monday at 11 am at Stith Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Parker officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are David Taylor, Jeff Johnson, Gary Kidd, Dale Blevins, Charles Newton and Bobby Newton. Honorary pallbearers are Rastus Yankee and Norman Addington. Visitation will be after 4 pm, Sunday at Stith Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.stithfuneralhome.net.
