Juanita Turner 1927-2008
MORELAND - Juanita Johnson Turner, 81, of Danville died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008.
Born Aug. 25, 1927, in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Johnson. She was a longtime employee of SSC Service Solutions and a secretary for Turner Seamless Guttering for many years. She was an avid Bingo player and UK Wildcat fan. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Known as "Greasy Granny," she was selfless and deeply cherished by all.
She is survived by her husband, Talbert Turner of Danville; a son, Rick (Jeannea) Turner of Danville; a daughter, Tammy Sweazy of Danville; a brother, Robert (Barbara) Johnson of Moreland; four grandchildren, Lindsey Cundiff, Hagen Sweazy, and Ansley and Jenna Turner; and a special family friend, Becky Quesenberry.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. Larry Moore. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Hagen and Eric Sweazy, Danny, Mike and Felix Johnson, Jeff Quesenberry, Dennis Sallee and William Preston. Honorary pallbearers are Robert, Larry, Bryant, Jimmy, Gary and Darrell Johnson, and Kenneth Reed.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
