Harley Humfleet

September 28, 1932 — September 25, 2017

Harley Hodge Humfleet, 84, of Stanford, died Monday, September 25, 2017. Born September 28, 1932 in Harlan County, he was the son of the late William Robert and Luda Gordon Humfleet. He was retired from Stanford Wood Products. Harley ministered for 39 years, and pastored several churches and was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Faye Flowers, the mother of his children, and his wife Corene Baker. He was also predeceased by two children, Harley Hodge Humfleet Jr. and Diana Sill Gover, three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include a son, William Robert (Donna) Humfleet, two daughters, Sherri (Roger) Cloyd) and Della Wright, step-children John Pittman, Marion Pittman, Linda Cain, Kathy Baugh, Steve Pittman, three sisters, Pauline (Clyde) Davis, Martha (Curt) Skidmore, Louise (Denny) Brambley, nine grandchildren; Stephanie (Jeremy) Wright, Tim (Monica) Shelton, Tina (John) Webb, Patty Wilburn, Gene Humfleet, Austin Humfleet, B.J. (Michelle) Naylor, April (Dale) Pennington, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11 am, Friday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Junior Fields will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm Thursday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested in the American Cancer Society and Heritage Hospice.
