Gary Lee Richardson

Gary Lee Richardson, 66, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on September 19, 2023. He was born December 12, 1956, to the late Carl Raymond Richardson and the late Ruby Martha Neikirk.

Gary graduated from Danville high School in 1975 and worked at Centre College for almost 28 years. In his best years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He also loved to talk on the C.B. radio with all his buddy’s and work on model cars. He was always there to make a joke, aggravate and pick on family and friends, but he loved his family and friends fiercely.

Gary is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Carman Richardson; two daughters, Sarah (Ed) Runyon and Lara (Lee) Naylor. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kaitlynn Ragan, Josh Ragan, Matthew Runyon, Haley Ragan, Samuel Runyon, Sami (Jared) Maggard, Hunter Naylor, and Jacob Naylor; and one great-grandson, Eli Clarkson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ruby Richardson; daughter, Jillian Star Richardson; and son, Daniel Lee Richardson.

Serving as pallbearers are Josh Ragan, Matthew Runyon, Samuel Runyon, Hunter Naylor, Jacob Naylor, Edle Casey Jr. and Gary Nyman. Honorary pallbearers are Kaitlynn Ragan, Haley Ragan, Sami Maggard, Danny Cross Sr., Jeff Hicks, Ron Kirby, Phillip Kirby, Kenny Hooper, Tucker Nyman, and Randy Williams.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Tuesday, September 26 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. The service will follow at noon with Bro. Zak Lawson officiating.  Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
