Frances Tarter

August 5, 1921 — June 6, 2012

Frances Hope Tarter, 90, left her earthly life and was reunited with loved ones in her heavenly home on Wednesday evening, June 6, 2012. She was born Friday August 5, 1921, in Russell County, Kentucky, to Fred and Gertrude Robertson. Hope had retired as a self-employed beautician and was an active member of the Liberty First Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Artise R. Tarter; her siblings, Mildred Smith, Freeda Wilson, Felton Robertson, Geneva Reeves; and her son, Randy Meece.

She is survived by her daughter in-law, Sara Meece; her granddaughter, Rhonda Grider (David); her grandson, Randall Meece (Tonya); her five great-grandchildren, Shannan Posey (Michael), Brittany Hope Meece, Deanna DeChane, Johnathon Meece, and Molly Ann Grider; two great-great granddaughters, Randi Nicoul and Callie Frances Posey; her brother, O.D. Robertson; and her sister, Treva Foley.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 10, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, with Bro. Jim Brown officiating . Visitation will be at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, from 6 -8 P.M. Saturday, June 9, 2012. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Danville Memorial Gardens.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Liberty First Baptist Church Building Fund.
