Ethel Adams Rankin, 80, of Danville, Ky died Saturday, February 18, 2012. She was born August 25, 1931 in Lancaster, KY to the late Ira G. and Della Keaton Adams. She was a homemaker, former owner/manager of Rankin Mobile Home Supplies and Little Beaver Sports Shop. She was a charter member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clarence Lee Rankin, Jr.; three children, Brenda Semones (Carroll) of Harrodsburg, KY, Larry "Bruce" Rankin (Linda) of Stanford and Bobbie Murphy of Danville; a brother, B.F. Adams of Nicholasville, KY and a sister, Joyce Ingram of Harrodsburg, KY; six granddaughters, Joy Baker (Mark), LeCarol Vanoy (Brian), Jennifer Adams (Mike), Lisa McQueen (Doug), Sara Southerland (Jeff) and Bridget Rankin (fiancee' C.J. Lynn); 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2012, from 5-9 at Spurlin Funeral Home Stanford, funeral services will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Spurlin Funeral Home Stanford. Reverends Lewis Walter and Johnny Thompson will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Casketbearers will be Sara Southerland, Bridget Rankin, Lisa McQueen, Jennifer Adams, Bobbie Murphy and Linda Rankin.

Memorials in Lieu of flowers may be given to Gideon's International and or the American Cancer Association.
