Eleanor Sickles

Eleanor Elizabeth Joseph Sickles, 90, of Danville, KY died on June 28, 2019. Born November 24, 1928 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Catherine Kurtz Joseph, Eleanor was the widow of the late Lee Roy Sickles. She was a former sewing operator for a clothing manufacturer. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband and parents, two sisters Frances Luckenbill and Elizabeth Joseph and two brothers Steven Kurtz and Thomas Joseph.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Sickles (Robert) Showers; brothers William Joseph and Robert Joseph; two grandchildren, Josie Showers and Jason (Elizabeth) Showers; and two great- grandchildren, Aubrey and Jonathan Showers.
Burial was in Danville Memorial Gardens. The memorial service will be August 10, 2019 at 11 am at the Salvation Army Chapel, Danville. Family will receive friends afterwards. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
