Dorothy Fields

Dorothy Jones Fields, 81, of Darley Creek Dr., Mt. Sterling passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born in Owingsville, Kentucky on May 15, 1931 the daughter of the late William Espa and Irma Paulsen Jones. She worked in accounting for the Montgomery County Fiscal Court, was a member of the Town and Country Homemakers and the Main Street Church of Christ. She was the widow of John McDonald Fields.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Estill Jones and Raymond W. Jones.

She is survived by one daughter, Patsy Fields (Cesar, Sr.) Martinez of Sebring, FL; three sons, John Michael (Kate) Fields of Ft. Worth, TX, Timothy Estil (Shar) Fields of W. Palm Beach, FL, and Brian Scott (Nikki) Fields of Parkersburg, W. VA; two brothers, Edward B. "Snooker" (Nancy) Jones an James "Deacon" Jones both of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Shirley (Lewis) Harrod of Lexington, KY; a sister-in-law, Beulah Jones of Mt. Sterling; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gist Howell officiating and burial following in the Danville Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM. Pallbearers will be Wally Johnson, Ralph Jones, Dale Lockett, David Wayne Harrod, Tim Murphy and Tyler Murphy. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the M & M Food Pantry.
