Doris Stratton Robinson Sims, 85 of Danville died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at her home. She was the widow of Marshall Foster Sims. Born November 7, 1925 in Mercer County to the late Delbert and Reva Stratton Robinson. Doris was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Danville, she loved to garden and take care of the farm. She retired from Bell South, where she was Operator Supervisor and then was active in the Pioneers Club.

She was predeceased by her husband Foster, her parents, two sisters Hilda Robinson Sims and Emma Robinson Lay, and a brother Thomas Edwin "Buddy" Robinson.

Survivors include her sister Frances Robinson McClure of Louisville, brother in law John P. Lay of Danville, several much loved nieces and nephews, and caregivers Vicki, Montana, Sheila, and Sheila.

Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Monday at Stith Funeral Home and Family Center, Junction City with Rev. Timothy J. Mathis and John David Lay. Burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Visitation will be noon - 2 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Gideons International or the Salvation Army.
