Neal Underwood, 75, of Danville died Monday, November 8, 2010. Born October 3, 1935 in Garrard County, he was the son of Lilburn and Myrtie Goins Underwood. He was a member of Indian Hills Christian Church, an avid bowler, loved fishing, but his family always came first. Mr. Underwood retired from Whirlpool after 20 years, he was also a bus driver and custodian with the Boyle County Board of Education for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Cox Underwood, a daughter, Lisa (Terry) Cook, a son, Steve (Paula) Underwood, a sister, Lucille (Dave) Gibson, allof Danville, two grandchildren Tanya Underwood (Beau) Bruton and Christopher Cook, a step grandson Blake Barker, and three great grandchildren Brianna, Kaylee, and Mattie Bruton. He was predeceased by two sisters, Sue Wade and Betty Gipson, and a brother, James Allen Underwood. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Indian Hills Christian Church with the Revs. Lance Ladd, Mike Crowe and Gary Douglas officiating. Visitation will be after 4:00 pm Wednesday at Indian Hills Christian Church. Stith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. www.stithfuneralhome.net
