Clarence Barrett

Clarence William Barrett, 78, of Danville, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Danville. Born in Churchill, Tennessee to Mary Alice Jones and Richard Clarence Barrett, he was a farmer and a plant operator for Dix River Stone. He is survived by his wife, Faye Barrett, of 59 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children; two sons, Dennis "Smoky" (Carla) Barrett of Danville and Ricky (Mariann) Barrett of Memphis, two daughters, Catherine Faye (James) Shifflett of Lexington and Diane Barrett of Richmond; as well as five sisters, Wanda Thibo of Florida, Ann Sears of Stanford, Imogene Dawson of Stanford, Bernadine Chadwick of Georgia and Theo Davidson of Tennessee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Regan (Jaime) Bowen, Crystal Bowen, Brad (Kelli) Shifflett, Jennifer Barrett, Brandon (Shauna) Barrett, Ashley (Justin) Smothers and Shari Barrett, as well as 13 grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Max Hester officiating. The family requests donations to Heritage Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive Lexington, KY 40504 and the Philadelphia Church of God, P.O. Box 3700 Edmond, OK 40744.
