Bobby Hatfield

Bobby Lee Hatfield, 73, passed away Thursday June 12, 2014. Mr. Hatfield was born April 15, 1941 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late J.L. and Hazel Short Hatfield.

Mr. Hatfield worked in textiles and construction and was an entrepreneur in many other fields. He had a witty and magnetic personality and enjoyed socializing with his friends at the VFW and American Legion Post 46. He enjoyed golfing and shooting pool, fishing, hunting, and was an avid UK basketball fan. Mr. Hatfield also served as Boyle County Constable for 17 years

Mr. Hatfield is survived by 3 sons, Tim (Alice) Stewart of California, Jeff Hatfield of Casey County, and Bobby Hatfield II of Richmond, 5 daughters, Stacy Lee Hatfield of Danville, Kathy (Randy) Campbell-Williams of Casey County, Babette Sheene of Harrodsburg, Bobbie Ja'net Hatfield-Richey of Moreland, Angeline Nicole Hatfield-Vance of Atlanta, 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hatfield was preceded in death by a brother J.C. Hatfield.

The funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Tuesday June 17, 2014 at Preston Pruitt Funeral Home with Pastor Steve James officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8p.m., Monday June 16, 2014 at Preston Pruitt Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, Jeff Hatfield, Tim Stewart, Bobby Hatfield II, Randy Phillips, Hank Satterly, Robert Mitchell, and Randy Williams.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Legion Post #46 Danville, Kentucky.
