Billy Patterson, 80, of Eubank, KY passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 in Danville, KY at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born on May 3, 1942 in Casey County, KY to the late Oran and Emma Greer Patterson. He was the widower to the late Anna Lorene Bruner Patterson. Billy enjoyed gardening, fishing and ginseng hunting. He also loved going to the local flea market. He was a farmer that enjoyed raising potatoes, where people soon started calling him “Taterman”. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Patterson (Angie) of Stanford, James Patterson (Nell) of Ohio and Roger Patterson (Bernadine) of McKinney, KY; one daughter, Kaysie Shepherd of Science Hill, KY; three brothers, Donald Ray Patterson (Janice), David Patterson and W.C. Patterson; three sisters, Juanita Padgett, Nancy Wren (James) and Trish Ann Merrell; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Bruner Patterson; parents, Oran and Emma Patterson; one son, Mike Patterson; one daughter-in-law, Linda Patterson; two brothers, Ronald Patterson and Timothy Wayne Patterson; one sister, Joyce Bryan; one granddaughter, Jennifer Patterson and one great-granddaughter, Adriana Kidwell.

A one-day service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Bro. Ronnie Haste officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers are Jesse Patterson, Justin Patterson, Zayden Patterson, Donald Ray Patterson, David Lynn Patterson and James Wren.
