Betty R Lovelace

Betty R. Lovelace, 98, of Stanford, KY passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY. Born on February 13, 1925 in Beattyville, KY to the late Parker and Gretchen Howerton Lovelace. Betty moved to New York along with her younger brother. She then returned to Kentucky to get a business degree and starting her career in Washington, D.C. She then moved to Los Angeles, CA where she worked for 32 years at a telephone company before her retirement. After her retirement, Betty moved to Tennessee and later made it back home to Kentucky. She was known for her studying of the Bible, teaching and prayer life. She is a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church, where she was faithful as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by a niece, Billie Horton (Ray) of Sandy Hook, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Parker and Gretchen Lovelace; and three brothers, Billy Lovelace, Bobby Lovelace and Benny Lyons.

A one-day service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Bro. Brad King officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Danville, KY.
