Betty D. Johnson Kolb 92, of Stanford passed away Thursday May 4, 2023. Betty was born August 13, 1930 to the late Jesse Alec Johnson and Rogie DeLeon Daughtery Johnson.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Kolb. Along with her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Wilson, Beatrice Lane, and Margaret Ellis, five brothers, Terry, Leroy, Jesse, Tom and Paul Johnson, her son, Robert Wayne and her great granddaughter, Madison Paige.

Betty retired from Delmonico Foods after 24 years of loyal service.  Betty was an active member of the Louisville Association of the Deaf and the Deaf Senior Citizens Group.  

Betty was a humble and loving wife, mother, Memaw, and friend. Her gentle spirit and perpetual smile brought comfort and joy to everyone in her presence.  Her kind heart now rests eternally with the love her life.

Also surviving is an adored twin sister, Barbara Engle of Stanford, daughter, Linda Kolb Bozeman of Hustonville, a son, Jim Kolb (Mary) of LaGrange, seven grandchildren: Emily Kolb, Mallory Kolb, Jessie Johnson (Morgan), Mary Bertotto (Stephen), Elizabeth Chavez (Camilo), Robin Maggard, and Shawn Bozeman (Natasha); and ten great-grandchildren including newborn Lucy James.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 5-8pm at the funeral home, with an additional visitation from 10am until service time on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Pallbearers are: Shawn Bozeman, Barry Brashear, Steve Brashear, Neal Johnson, Roger Johnson, Doug Kolb, Dennis Kolb, and Morgan Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kentucky School for the Deaf Foundation/Jacobs Hall Museum.
