Betty Ann Brown, 74, of Stanford, on Thursday, April 23, 2009, went home to be with her maker. She was born Wednesday, June 20, 1934 in Lincoln County and was the loving daughter of the late George & Othello Parrish Brown. She was a retired from Decco-Art and a member of Greater Bethel AME Church in Boneyville where she was on the Usher Board and Kitchen Committee.
Her survivors include four sons and one daughter, Ronnie E. Brown of Perryville, Rickie W. Brown and his wife, Annette of Manassas, VA, Timothy K. Coffey and his wife, Connie of Gainesville, VA, Shawn P. Brown of Stanford and Bridgett L. Harris and her husband, Maurice of Stanford; six grandsons and five granddaughters, Deric, Ronnie, Justin, George & Christopher Brown, Greg Harris, Amaya & Brooklyn Brown, Keimya, Mikia and Tylia Harris; one great-granddaughter, Aniha Brown; one great-grandson, Jordan Harris brothers, George Brown, Jr. and his wife, Dorothy, William Brown and his wife, Wilma and David Brown and his wife, Shirley; one sister, Shirley Harper; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives will mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George & Othello Brown and sisters, Dora Holiday and Beverly Byrd.
An Appreciation of Life memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 27th at Greater Bethel AME Church by Rev. Kelvin Robinson and burial to follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Cremation has been chosen. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fox Funeral Home, Stanford. www.foxfuneralhome.com.
