Amelia Bowles 1946-2009
JUNCTION CITY - Amelia Faye Williams Bowles, 62, widow of Jim Bowles Jr., died May 6, 2009, at her residence.
Born May 30, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Milford and Etta Mae Boyd Williams. Amelia was a nurse's aide and had worked at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Friendship/Fellowship House and most recently at Charleston Assisted Living Center. She was a member of Harris Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Joe (Sue) Bowles and Donald Allen Bowles, a brother, Joe (Phyllis) Williams, and a sister, Mabel (Logan) Anderson, all of Junction City, Ky.; six grandchildren, Jonathon Bowles, James Allen Bowles, Amber Bowles, Hayley Bowles, Austin Bowles and Samuel Crawley; and one great-grandchild, Jonathan Bowles Jr.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Logan Ray "Nub" Williams.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home and Family Center in Junction City, Ky., with the Rev. Kenneth Smith. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Bowles Jr., Woodford Bowles Jr., Bryant Bowles, Randy Williams, Jeff Gammon and David Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City.
