Alfred Lee Farris, 81, of Danville died Friday, August 14, 2015. Born on Nov. 12, 1933 in Love, Ky., he is the son of Hurdle E. Farris and Zona Faye Lindsey Fowler Farris. He is the step-son of Mrs. Gradie Threlkel Farris and the widower of Norma Hampton Farris. He was a forklift driver for International Harvester and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and old cars. He most enjoyed talking with his family. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Farris.


He is survived by his daughter, Lisa D. (John) Ducker and son, Richard L. (Donna) Farris, both of Danville; four grandchildren, Kristina (Brad) Jeffries, Zach Scott, Jenna Ducker, and Abram Ducker and a great-granddaughter, Raelyn Jeffries.


The service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Stith Funeral Home of Junction City. Rev. Ernest Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the American Legion Post #18. Visitation will be Tuesday 11-1 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be sent to Alzheimers Research Foundation.
